Granite City Running is a running store located in Hallowell, Maine. The running shop brings an old-time shoe fitting experience to today's runner. The logo pays homage to the town's steel industry. Forging steel and training for a marathon are similar processes. A blacksmith has to hammer away, shape, and sculpt the steel to achieve its purpose. A runner trains and sculpts his body to achieve the goals that he/she sets for him/herself. The runner's shoe inside of the anvil connects the two trades.
